About — Westward Bookkeeping

I started Westward Bookkeeping after a year working as an accountant and a degree in Accountancy from Lindenwood University — enough time on the inside to see how many small businesses get by without real day-to-day support. Not because they don't need it, but because most bookkeeping options are either too expensive, too impersonal, or bundled with services they don't actually want.

Westward is built to be the alternative: one person, directly reachable, focused entirely on keeping your QuickBooks Online books categorized, reconciled, and reported — every month, without you having to think about it. No account handoffs, no junior staff you've never talked to, no upsell into services you didn't ask for.

Four summers with the Madison Scouts

Before accounting, I spent four summers marching snare with the Madison Scouts Drum and Bugle Corps — one of Drum Corps International's most decorated World Class ensembles, competing at the highest level the marching arts world has to offer. Holding a spot in that snare line for four summers meant performing at a professional standard: rehearsing daily, touring nationally, and getting it right in front of judges and stadium crowds with zero room for error.
